Cromoglicate

UNDER REVIEW (September 2016)

Mechanism of Action:

The mode of action of sodium cromoglicate (and nedocromil) is not completely understood. It has been suggested that it stabilizes mast cells, reduces activity sensory nerves, and has anti-inflammatory actions.

Beclometasone

UNDER REVIEW (April 2017)

Mechanism of Action:

Glucocorticoid steroid. Binds to the intracellular glucocorticoid (GC) receptor leading to the suppression of expression of proinflammatory genes and a reduction of the inflammatory response.
