About

eDrug was first created over a decade ago by Professor Simon Maxwell as a resource locked inside the old version of our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) EEMeC. When it came to migrating it to a more up to date format, we felt it deserved a wider audience.

eDrug highlights some of the most important drugs in common use, usually picking just one representative where a drug class has multiple members. A single monograph usually provides information for all contexts in which the drug class is used, although the drug may appear under multiple body systems or categories.

eDrug is an open resource with a CC-BY license (see footer), aligned with Edinburgh University’s Open Educational Resources (OER) initiative, open.ed.ac.uk.

eDrug is produced by staff from Edinburgh Medical School and NHS Lothian
